GERMAN SUAREZ, M.D.
Internal Medicine
Dr. Suarez received his degree in medicine from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana in Havana, Cuba. He served residencies in Internal Medicine at the San Antonio de Los Baños Hospital in Havana and the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Suarez also completed a fellowship and was the Chief Fellow in the Clinical Immunology, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Suarez joined the CAC-Florida Medical Centers in 2005. Prior to that Dr. Suarez served as a primary care physician for Leon Medical Centers and Clinical Research Coordinator in the Division of Special Immunology, Department of Medicine at the University of Miami/School of Medicine.
In 2003, Dr. Suarez was awarded the Department of Medicine Student Inpatient Teaching Award by the University of Miami/School of Medicine for consistent excellence in student teaching. He was also the recipient of the 2000 Fellow of The Year Award from the University of Miami, Clinical Immunology, Division of Infectious Diseases. He is a Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Suarez was a clinical investigator for numerous research studies conducted at the University of Miami/School of Medicine on the treatment of HIV. He has also been published and has presented extensively on this topic. Dr. Suarez sees patients at the Westland CAC-Florida Medical Center.
